Fantastic combination of fun stories and history, this podcast is now among my favorites. I particularly love the episodes on which the staff of the castle are interviewed, but there hasn’t been a single episode I didn’t enjoy yet. Sometimes the sound isn’t perfect, although, personally, I much prefer knowing exactly which room or what part of the gardens the episode was recorded in than having studio-worthy sound — it adds a bit more authenticity and fun to this already wonderful podcast. Lady Carnarvon is a great interviewer as well!
I spent the last six months listening to the archive, and I’ve finally caught up to all the episodes! Time to start listening to my favorites for the second time. 😁

I can’t explain how much I enjoyed listening to these podcasts. I thought binging Netflix was the greatest thing to do in my downtime, however I have now discovered this wonderful podcast. Thank you so much Lady Carnarvon for stepping into this technology and giving us a glimpse of the past and present at Highclere Castle. I love just knowing the little tidbits of the history of Highclere, the guests that have stayed at Highclere, the events that have been held at Highclere and staff that keeps Highclere running. It’s wonderful to hear and I cannot wait to visit Highclere in the hopefully not to distant future.

A wonderful podcast - I really do learn so much. From the history of the castle, to the historic events of World Wars and so much more. I even learn so much about the art of conversation as Lady Carnarvon models the height of kindness and polite conversation. She just exudes joy - much needed in this time of lockdown. Give it a listen. You will not regret it.

I’m transformed from Southern California to the castle. Lady Carnarvon describes everything so beautifully, and has a wonderful laugh! You feel as if you are there having a visit with a dear friend.
