The show is a few friends yapping about internet culture with a scope on politics. one of them will consistently learn something new that changes them to their core. It’s funny and hopeful. I love these little dorks.

I have huge amounts of respect for how this cast can get me to deeply consider my political values and how I think about the world, and then seconds later just take me out laughing. Lolo has been a great addition to the show and is maybe the funniest person alive? Good stuff

recently started listening after i realized the girl whose tweets i was liking had a podcast. just a couple episodes in and im hooked! Brace was hilarious and i'm thankful there's a team out there doing entertaining analysis on everything happening right now. this is exactly my speed!!!

I should like this show. I agree with their politics and the subject matter is relevant to me, but I hate them so much. They’re smug and confidently condescending about some things they clearly don’t actually bother to learn about.

But all that is forgivable. It’s the inability to ever show any kind of sincerity about any subject that irks me. I’m fine with dark humor, tasteless jokes, and levity, but when those things are employed by people who never show any depth whatsoever, it crosses over from a relatable cynicism to feel more like outsiders laughing at people than people laughing over things they’re experiencing together.

Maybe if they mature a little or find a way to demonstrate a level of actual concern for anything other than the extremely narrow swath of issues that personally affect them, I’d feel differently.
