Into the Depths - Podcast Rankings and reviews

This is the first podcast review I have ever written (since starting to listen to them when Serial debuted). I loved learning about the history of the shipwreck, their journeys and the lives of the people on the ships. The details and the empathy the host and divers brought to the shipwrecks and people felt genuine and sincere. Concrete science with data in service of healing (as one of the interviewees said)! The personal journey of the host was also nice. I want to know more about her matriarchs too!

Truly worth the listen- from the science, to the new perspective on the slave trade, to the empowerment of African Americans being the ones in the field to be making the archaeological discoveries, to the host’s own voice and story. I feel enriched by the experience.

Tara does a remarkable job bringing the full range of emotions and tragic but fascinating history to life. Highly recommend to anyone interested in learning about this important subject matter.
