Intelligent Machines, is the best of Twit.tv’s excellent podcasts, combining up to the minute tech news and commentary with discussion, debate and good humor. Leo, Paris, and Jeff are a highlight of my week. The only flaw in it is the recent removal of a key musical aspect of a host introduction. Please restore it. Many thanks also to the crack technical staff. Even the ads are great.

Intelligent Machines is the new iteration of what was previously This Week In Google. While TWiG was a highly entertaining show, it was clear for a long while that it had grown bigger than that show title really allowed. The show became Intelligent Machines and adopted an updated format to go along with the larger scope of topics. The core hosts of Leo Laporte, Jeff Jarvis and Paris Martineau continue to bring their unique perspectives and range of knowledge to the turbulent word of technology, but the show now also has guests that provide deeper explorations of specific topics. This new show has preserved everything that made TWiG entertaining while expanding the canvas in terms of what aspects of our rapidly changing relationship with technology are covered.

Have listened to the show for a few years now. The regular guests Stacey and Jeff are quite knowledgeable, and as host Leo is great. His general knowledge about the operations of the tech companies and computer hardware and software is amazing. He does sometimes dominate the conversation a bit, but it’s usually because he’s so knowledgeable about the whole topic and he’s talking to others via Skype.
