How U Livin J Piven

Stumbling on this podcast changed my morning. I look forward to waking up, getting ready and listening to this podcast. Jeremy talks with such passion that you immediately get sucked into the conversation as if he was talking to you. I find myself interested in subjects I normally wouldn’t be. What makes him a great actor isn’t just about the great roles written for him. It’s also about the dedication, passion & love for what he does. This podcast is a reflection of those qualities.

As a person who is from right outside of Chicago, works at a community college, heavily involved with Diversity Equity and Inclusion, I really enjoyed the conversation between the two!!! It is so relevant and I only wish more people would have these conversations!!!! Being a proponent of cannabis and cannabis education is also important to hopefully break the stigmas around weed and how uses it. Finally, when Jeremy mentioned the topic of anti-semitism and the fact that it’s not trending but a real thing, I totally laughed out loud!!! Such a true statement! Thanks for putting this conversation out there!!

Jeremy Piven is one of those actors who should be infinitely more admired for his craft than he is. He has such an expressive face and just brings it to every role I’ve seen him in. This podcast is a treat because it’s a look into just how much a Hollywood career is a constant ego assault, how success and longevity (if you want to be happy at the same time) requires mental strength. That’s not this pod’s focus of course, but as per usual this guy is bringing himself fully to every interview. I think Piven deserves the reward of happiness and I hope this podcast is giving him that because it’s certainly a joy for this listener.

All around great podcast. Tremendous depth within each episode as well as a wide range of topics episode to episode. A very down to Earth and humanistic stand point taken by Piven. 10/10 recommend

He tends to talk about the same topics 1) his Jewish heritage 2) how he’s been grinding since he was 2 3) black people and black audiences 4) folks telling him how he wouldn’t be successful in his stand up career. He uses points 1-4 to not so subtly sell his new career as a stand up comic. Loved him as Ari but he’s got to be more authentic on this podcast as opposed to using it as an image branding exercise.
