I’ve been listening for a few years and your war of the roses segment really needs some improvement. There are two ways you could fix the segment. Marie starts by telling the caller that they won roses, then immediately tells them that she can’t send them to the winner directly. That’s unnecessarily convoluted and immediately makes them feel like the call is a scam. They win something, but they can’t receive the prize directly? So the way to fix this is to say that the “prize” the caller wins is the ability to send a dozen roses to someone special in their life for free. The prize is that they get to send roses to a loved one. That takes away the whole, you won something but I can’t send it to you, which is all kinds of awkward. Secondly, you need to mute the person who’s worried their spouse is cheating. Over and over, you have these overzealous emotional spouses who start screaming right at the beginning of the call before you have the chance to learn anything. It ruins the whole bit and makes the section a waste of everyone’s time. The worried spouse learns nothing, you don’t even get to ask the caller who they’d send roses to half the time. The way to fix this is to mute the worried spouses phone in advance so they can’t ruin the segment by screaming prematurely. Please consider fixing these two things and you will improve the section GREATLY.
