I ate this up! Very spooky and bone chilling. I have clear visuals in my mind of the main events and environments, the way the story unfolded gave me just enough info to follow along while still accomplishing a realistic found tapes style audio drama, and I loved the voices! Shout to Motzie Dapul from Hi Nay :)
I listened with a friend and got them hooked too.

I enjoyed Wake of Corrosion and so was really looking forward to this show. Unfortunately, I’ve only managed to listen to two episodes because the acting, particularly by the woman who plays the lead, is so cringeworthy that I found myself gritting my teeth.
The vocal fry (inappropriate for the era); the impression that she’s reading the script out loud for the first time; the flat-yet-loud and too-perky, obnoxious delivery make her sound like she dropped into the podcast from 2015. Her delivery also makes her sound too young/ immature for the role.
“Lars” is better, but the frequent sighs and “shucks. Okay, fine!” delivery get old.
The story piqued my interest but I don’t think I can go on because of the acting. (Did I mention the nails-on-a-chalkboard vocal fry?)
If it was recast I’d gladly try again! What a shame…
