Smart, fun podcast that delves into history without being reductionist. Episodes are well paced and the perfect length, and the hosts offer thoughtful discussions that history-loving kids, and adults, will enjoy. Episode 1, Ancient Greek Fossil Frenzy, is particularly well done and provides a great prompt for curious minds to explore further. I look forward to future episodes!

I’ve only listened to the first episode of the new Everhart Productions podcast History Snacks, but I can already tell it’s a winner. The research, writing, narration, and sound are all first class. Listening to this stellar production makes me wish I was a kid again, trying to pay attention in long, boring, world history class - but able to get my information another way. The narrators enthusiastically deliver well-researched bites (Snacks!) from ancient history, with a comical flair for the dramatic. This is sure to capture the attention and imagination of your history student - and yours, too! I’m looking forward to hearing the rest.

The people of the past are just people we can’t visit. By sharing with kids their stores, cultures, and adventures this show is keeping their experiences and lessons alive. This gives young listeners a sense of grounding and orientation to better understand, move through, and shape the world of today and the future as they grow. And with a start like this, they’ll be able to pass the torch in turn. An excellent gift to today’s youngest listeners.

The first episode was so fun to listen to! I loved the mixing of facts and myth (THE SPECULATION ZONE!!) and the hosts have great energy together.
