Michael is the perfect guy for this podcast. There’s something grounding and comforting about listening to his sardonic takes on the news. He’s sharp, he’s well informed, and his jokes cut like a knife. He’s just as miserable as we are, but he’s also stubborn—which is exactly what we need in this moment. We need stubborn and funny people to call things as they are. And that’s what Michael does best.

Years ago, I brought Michael Ian Black some Brown Butter cookies at Cobb’s Comedy Club. He invited me up to the stage and we shook hands for an awkwardly a long time before he ate the cookies. I really enjoyed that moment and reflect on it often. This podcast makes me feel the same way, if that makes sense. It provides a great balance of important news (Cobb’s) with a dash of comedy (Michael Ian Black), and oddly enough, everyone sounds good-looking (cookies)! I choose this podcast over all others. Five Stars, would give 6 if they did more episodes every week.
Love,
Cat

I happened to hear a commercial for this and I’m so glad I did. It’s smart and really funny (you can hear me laughing aloud while doing the laundry at midnight) perfect to balance all the dramatic and often bad onslaught of news. Love the chemistry between the three with Michael being the perfect genius leader. Jim and Jody are so wonderful and smart and give that softer tone to Michael’s witty and cutting satire.

MIB: Favorite podcaster (How to be Amazing…Obscure…Mike & Tom Eat Snacks…!!!), fantastic interviewer, laugh-out-loud comedian, deep thinker, beautiful human. His success with this show and podcast is well-deserved and a treat for longtime fans. I wouldn’t miss anything he does.
