I love listening to this lighthearted podcast that discusses very real topics in an approachable, yet often humorous, way. I appreciate the multiple perspectives so much.

As a heads up, the volume the last several episodes has been very low.. your voices are very quiet and I can barely hear when I play on speakerphone. I have to turn my car speakers up high to hear, then the ad breaks are super loud. Please look into this!

Kendahl and Jordan have asked in a few recent episodes for straight people to comment, so here I am. I’m a 48 straight white cis man who found HWHL a few months ago after the couple was on Perfect Person and has listened to the whole catalog since. I knew Jordan from the Friday top five foods videos and the fantastic Gastronauts and have enjoyed learning more about them both and lesbian culture. This is a great podcast and I appreciate you two allowing us into your world.

I really look forward to these episodes! The energy they’ve brought into season 2 has been so fun and encouraging. I just love their vibe, together and individually!

(Quick aside: the volume levels compared to the ad breaks is so jarring sometimes. Please bump up the volume on your mics. It’s the quietest podcast I listen to by a lot.)

Listen, it’s Feb 2025. This is a really great podcast and the hosts have great perspective, the guests are engaging, it’s a really great listen. However, listening is hard. The volume is so ever-changing that you have to keep your hand on your dial (in the car) or your volume button on your phone. They cannot seem to get the mics at the same level or the volume of the show in tune with each other or the volume of the ads. In one episode, if you adjust to the level of the ads then you can’t hear when they start talking. In other episodes you adjust and get comfortable at their level and then they get excited, sit forward, into the mic, and basically scream into your ears. I love the energy, but you just can’t listen at work, in your earbuds, or at any point when you can’t pay absolute attention to the volume button. But it’s great!
