When one of the first episodes includes lutefisk, you have found a true Northern Minnesota gold mine. Listening to this podcast I’m transported into not only a kitchen but a home. I have waited so long for Greater Minnesota (see what I did there ;-) ) to be represented and the stories to be told. This podcast is doing a phenomenal job of that. Not only are you getting the recipes but you are getting the history included and that is the special difference that brings the “twinkle” and triggers the memories that make this more than a podcast. The stoic Scandinavians would even smile listening to this which is not a small feat. Please keep the content coming and thank you for the memories.

I love this show! I love Amy Thielen and her recipes. Her ability meld midwestern fare with her fine dining history is my jam. This show leans hard into Minnesota culture in the best way. There’s a recipe to try each week and even a call in segment, since it’s originally a radio show. I live in Colorado but love the perspective and vibe.
