Remember: girls are just as smart, powerful, as boys and can do all the same things guys do, same for boys, If you are LGBTQ+ you are valid. It’s ok if you don’t know your sexuality, as long as you feel true to yourself that’s what matters. If people in your life say that trans girls are not real girls, this is not true. You are just as much a girl as any of us. Girls can be athletic and messy, boys can be into fashion and theatre, girls can be into so called “girly stuff” or “tomboy stuff”, and boys can be too.

We’ve been listening to these stories for years, and love them- but not the addition of cartoony sound effects to previous episodes.
Frida Kahlo’s tragic bus accident now sounds like clown cars in a circus. The tales are powerful enough to stand on their own.
Please, don’t dumb them down.

I like this podcast a lot. I like how the stories are told in a fun and entertaining way. One thing I don’t like, however, is that they’ve started placing the ad in the middle of the podcast. It used to be at the beginning or end and it wasn’t distracting to listen to or skip over. I use this podcast to help me fall asleep and when there is an ad in the middle it is very distracting. I also won’t skip over it because I’m not going to touch my phone as I’m falling asleep

This podcast is THE ABSOLUTE BEST! I am 12 yrs old, and I still find these stories empowering! I remember I was ten, and I wanted to play girls hockey, for fear I would get beaten up by some boys. But, I heard something on one of these podcasts, and it inspired me to toughen up. And guess what? I ended up as the best player on my co Ed team, and I even won MVP. Stay fierce! Stay rebel! Stay you.

A previously wonderful podcast full of inspirational stories often containing accounts of underprivileged girls overcoming their circumstances moves behind a paywall, denying modern girls in similar circumstances these very stories. Well, they at least get one per month.

Best podcast I’ve tuned in so far and I think it’s great inspiration for young girls like myself to reach out and touch the stars of all the women before them. Then they can say, Wow this was amazing what they did for themselves and others.
