Not only does this give me all the Harry Potter I need to survive, but it also just makes me feel cozy. I often listen to an episode before bed cuz HP makes me feel good and it's nice to feel smily at night (all thanks to you two). I say this as if I don't listen to episodes during any free time I get. Charlie and Hannah join me when I'm doing dishes or work and anything in between. Separate from HP this calms my stress of having to grow up, basically "if these two disasters can survive early adulthood, so can i". Thank you so so much for being a comfort and bringing laughter to my chaotic life.

Hi! I absolutely love your podcast! I recently finished binging every episode and now I’m basically in agonizing suspense for two weeks in between episodes 🥲 I know you always say that you are not relaxing but for some reason your voices (that I can never tell apart) always help me fall asleep. I got here from the gayly prophet and I absolutely love your guys approach to Harry Potter. As someone who has always been scared of what the future holds both of your views on life and the knowledge that these two 20-something drunks can make it through life has really helped me be more confident and comfortable with exploring my own options to making a life for myself. Thank you so much for putting more joy and Gilmore Girl references into the world 💜edit: I think that you guys would love Percy Jackson! It probably has been recommended to you before but i really do think you guys would like it. p.s. I like you two better than Neil p.p.s. I freaking love your Christmas episodes, especially thé fan fiction ones 😍

I’m a new mom (to a boy) who is re-listening to all the Harry Potter books during all the many many middle of night feedings, and this podcast is the perfect companion. These ladies have such unique insights that it feels like it’s a whole new book! I absolutely sobbed at the break down of book 4 ch 34. Great listen!

Absolutely wonderful, funny, and logical. I’m only on book/season four, but I think that I’ll be able to catch up because I listen to it so much :D. It’s my favorite podcast, and I learned more about British politics from it :).

I thought this podcast was funny, reflective and insightful for the first 102 episodes. And then I heard them trash a person who had very legitimate concerns about how hateful the hosts are.
The hosts preach acceptance and being nonjudgmental, but apparently that only applies to specific groups of people that the hosts have deemed capable of suffering. They truly seem to hate men and people with any level of privilege, despite the fact that people don’t choose to be men or choose to be born into privilege any more than they choose to be female or gay or trans or poor.
When the hypocritical hatred was pointed out by another one star reviewer, the hosts read it on the show and just kind of laughed it off and insulted the reviewer, despite the fact that multiple times throughout the podcast, they explicitly say to reach out if they unintentionally offend someone.
This was really disappointing, immature, and indicative that the hosts are more interested in feeling morally superior to others than actually making the world a more accepting place.
And before you assume, no, I’m not a white cis male. I actually belong to a few of the groups that the hosts deemed capable of suffering, and I’m not a “Tory” as they like to say derisively, but I still cannot tolerate the hatefulness towards “privileged” groups.
It’s just no longer funny, it’s hateful and it makes me sad.
