What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I listen to podcast while i work and came across this podcast. I expected it to be another one of survival stories (which I also enjoy) and was so happily surprised that it’s so much to it! I love how passionate Ashley is about conservation and the duo hosting works great. But the best of all is having guest experts to bring the scientific part to the stories. I have always been an animal lover and my oldest daughter is studying to become a conservation biologist! I have gone back to the beginning to re-listen all the episodes

MammaPinkarella · Mar 2026

I have always loved animals and I am so happy to have found a podcast that matches that vibe. Not only do the hosts love what they are talking about, but I am learning new things constantly. They are so much fun while also teaching not only animal facts but survival tips. Love this show!

I found this podcast a few months ago and absolutely love listening to this at work. Im a plant biology research assistant and getting a mix of information with humor is the perfect combination to make the hours fly by! Love how Ashley is able to have great chemistry with everyone (but ofc her and Nick are unmatched.) My goal is to visit more national parks in my lifetime so I will definitely keep all the info i learned here in mind! Thanks!

Maura Macs · Jan 2025

I really enjoy this podcast - great information about how to avoid animal attacks. I am appreciate the episodes on the fired federal employees in wildlife areas. Not everyone really understands the function of these positions and how important they are.

tthiking · Apr 2025

The host isn’t believable as a scientist, she embodies the pompous and self-righteous attitude that’s a little unusual for a woman in science. Regarding the death of Kathleen Peterson, her “expert” she interviewed was a random man trying to profit off the case, not even a forensic scientist. It seems like a weird choice to be so unscientific on a science podcast.
