This podcast is nearly perfect in its design: the calming music is perfect and Lisa’s voice is soothing. The content is so powerful & we need people like Lisa who aren’t afraid to speak out. Lisa breaks down hard topics and makes the information digestible. Her questions are thoughtful & she is an amazing interviewer. As a survivor of abuse, this is now one of the main tools in my tool belt on my journey of healing. I’m so beyond grateful for this podcast. Thank you, Lisa.

This podcast is so important for everyone to hear because we all know someone who has been impacted by abuse, if we haven’t experienced it ourselves. These conversations are so powerful and informative, and will better equip us all with how to heal, how to support others, and how prevent future harm. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your story and giving survivors a safe space to share theirs.

The guests on this podcast are absolute heroes and deserve standing ovation for their bravery to be so open when sharing their life with us. They are here to tell their life story but I feel like I’m eavesdropping on their private therapy session. The host constantly interrupts explaining why the quest is feeling this way or another. Or why the “bad” person hurt them. At times the guest sounds confused and actually shuts down.
Their experiences are so important to be heard.
Their voices need to be heard but more often than not the voice that dominates is the host’s voice.
Don’t get me wrong, her voice is beautiful, soothing and she is definitely kind and compassionate lady and definitely cares for her guests but she needs to stop analyzing everything. The guests are here to share their story so we could learn from it and possibly recognize that this happened to us. They all said that they are in therapy and most likely already know the terminology to their feelings.
There is no need for the host be their therapist.
I want to love this podcast and unfortunately I find myself frustrated with host (beautiful and soothing voice) who constantly over talks and over analyzes.
Please, let the guests speak.

The podcast so many need to hear.
Abused people in Reddit forums tell tales of abuse. Invaribly there's enablers or family members doing their level best to shut the victimized person up while stealing their money & homes. I had abused friends and family members who hid in drugs & alcohol & were secrective until they were pushed to suicide. Most, I only learned the extent of the financial & sexual abuse & coercion, after their deaths. I couldn't save them.
Listen to the truths in this series. There's numbers and web addresses at the end to help people who've been trafficed & abused. -Don't set yourself on fire to keep a sociopath warm.
