I love this podcast! It’s great to catch up with Friends and Fiction episodes while I’m out for a walk or off in the car. These women—whose books I’ve long loved—are so real, down to earth, witty, and insightful. They bring great author guests and ask all the questions! The Writers’ Block segments with Ron are a fascinating addition to hear insiders’ stories from authors and others. Five stars!

I’ve been watching Friends and fiction since April or Early May 2020.
At a time when we couldn’t get together with family and friends, there you all were every Wednesday to talk about books but also what was going on in the world at the time and still sadly hasn’t gone away.
I was familiar with a couple of the F&F authors and your books, but was able to meet new authors and read their wonderful books too. I hadn’t listened to Podcasts prior to COVID and now love them and audio books and Ebooks as well as regular books.
Thanks for being there and for your amazing stories and virtual friendships and laughter!

As a reader, I love this this podcast! I love how the Fab Five discuss books, bookstores and their guests Karen Slaughter was a hoot! As an aspiring writer, their tips are invaluable and they help me push on! Maybe one day, when I get published, I may even be a guest! You rock!

I was SO THRILLED to find this podcast, so many of my favorite authors in one place- talking about books- which I LOVE- holy cow! I really tried to like it, but won’t listen anymore. The production value is horrible- there are so many echoes, some of the contributors sound like they’re far away...I can only tell the author talking by their poor sound quality each episode, it’s such an amateur podcast- I’ve listened to hundreds of podcasts that are virtual over the pandemic and none have such poor sound quality like this one. Plus, there are always people whispering in the background, there are phones ringing, text tones going off, no professionalism at all. And no one can decide who’s the moderator so someone is always talking over someone else- so there are long minutes of “oh no, you go ahead” “I’m sorry, you go ahead” and then they again talk over each again. How are these best selling authors? It makes me cringe. What a disappointment.

I was initially thrilled to find these podcasts with such well-known, popular authors. Very disappointed I was! Authors are too verbose, interrupt, talk over each other, poor production value, distracting, extraneous noises, etc. I would think most listeners are interested only in what the authors have to say. Gave up after a few tries……
