What an incredible podcast. I began as a skeptic over a year ago thinking “surely this is an over correction” but boy was I wrong. Through listening to countless in-depth stories of birth in and outside of the system, I’ve found myself completely inspired by these women. I look forward to a new podcast every week and I’ve become more and more confident about the thought of having my own freebirth one day. Thank you to Emilee and all the women who share their stories!

I listened to this podcast throughout my pregnancy and just free birthed my 4th baby 4/16 at 4:05am. Thank you Emily for your podcast. Your podcast is beautiful and a wonderful resource.

As a collective we’ve largely lost trust in the body’s innate wisdom to give birth without interference.

In hospitals, low-risk births can quickly turn high-risk—not because the body fails, but because of the cascade of interventions.

Birth is safest when supported, not rushed. A healthy, low-risk woman rarely becomes high-risk unless unnecessary interventions disrupt the process.

Emilee is not an unlicensed midwife/radical birthkeeper and misrepresents her experience with birth out of the system (she has personally attended fewer than 10, some say less than 5, out of system births). She speaks with authority about “variations of normal” that may not be earned. Do your due diligence if using this podcast to inform your understanding of unassisted birth.

I was sucked into this show and binged many episodes while pregnant. This podcast host profits off of other women’s beautiful birth stories. Her attitude and tone is disturbing and she is often disrespectful of her guests. The products (“schools”) that she peddles before the show are very lackluster and not worth the price tag. The marketing is well done, but the products are a big disappointment after you’ve paid thousands. Don’t be fooled.
