I am an avid listener of this podcast. It’s both informative and entertaining.
If you work in ceramics, and love to talk shop, this is the place for you.

Each episode deals with issues that have been sent in by listeners.
If you want to learn more about ceramics, covering a wide variety of topics with an emphasis on problem solving, the science of ceramics and glazes, and educating listeners about the raw materials that we use, you owe it to yourself to listen this podcast.
A wide variety of topics are discussed all of interest to potters and others working with clay and glazes.
Several complex topics are discussed in an informative yet lighthearted manner.
Listeners are invited to ask questions about clay, glazes, raw materials, faults and their remedies,
Between them, the hosts have a breadth of knowledge and information to share.
The hosts also have a wonderful rapport and their banter can be entertaining.
(There are moments in the podcast where one might consider that the hosts could conceivably be under the influence of nitrous oxide. It can be that much fun.)

I’m a huge fan the podcast and I am forever grateful that it exists. I have learned a lot.

Kathy, Matt & Rose have become my long distance co-workers. As a studio ceramicist, I work alone with the exception of my fur-child/dust mop little terrier. Don’t worry- I DO mop. It is peaceful to have my studio solitude but SOMETIMES it’s just plain lonely. I have binge watched seasons of shows during production stages where I don’t really have to look at what I’m doing (pinching pots is something I do by feel, for example). I absolutely love the wisdom and enthusiasm that this trio bring to the production stages where I HAVE to look at my task. Even on days when the topic doesn’t SEEM like something pertinent to MY practice, I always learn something new or find a new ceramist to follow or resource to google.
For clay geeks, this show can be as riveting as a murder mystery podcast as they discuss mysterious studio happenings in a “who done it” investigative style. Mysteries like “Why did my glaze do that thing that I HATE” or “how do I get away with NOT following the golden rules of studio ceramics?” These guys will always show up on time and they never fail to remind me of how much I DO know and of things I didn’t know that I needed to.
Obviously, I love this show and I’m grateful to have these people as my on-call co-workers for those days when working alone feels restless and my home studio seems like a hermitage. Thanks you guys for your commitment to research and levity, particularly when discussing technical topics that tend to make a creative’s eyes glaze over (pun intended). This show is my FAV!

The banter between Kathy, Rose and Matt always adds some fun to what can be an otherwise dry and technical subject. The excellent information they have provided has helped me significantly improve my knowledge of chemistry and process. i’m proud to say I have listened to every episode and I highly recommend this to all my fellow ceramic artists.

Balancing the audio between the hosts (some higher pitch and one low) could make it easier to listen to when your hands are dirty with clay.

Other than this, I love everything about this podcast.
