What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Understand the need for some ads but it feels like it’s tipped into an egregious level some episodes when compared to similar podcasts. The more I notice the long interruptions the more I’m swaying into moving to a different podcast and not listening. I enjoy the banter and don’t mind a reasonable amount ads as a trade off but consider the balance please.

The best football pod going. A week of the ramble offers something for everyone. Insight, laughs, quizzes, I’ve genuinely sacked off all other football pods.

Heneage · Oct 2025

I’ve been listening to the football ramble since the very beginning and it has yet to disappoint me! It’s part of my daily routine and is as important to me as coffee in the morning. Even when the take the piss out of my team it makes me laugh. 10/10, every time!

SarahNP28 · Sep 2025

The football ramble is legitimately my favorite part of the morning in and out of the season on release days. I’ve listened to the entire back catalogue as well. I can say that: -even though I follow 7 other football related podcasts in English, 3 in French, and 3 in Spanish -I am an French/American Chelsea fan (a pre-Abramovich fan at least) who never gets tired of listening to them take the piss out of the club -I’m not going to be able to go to the live show even if this review wins the raffle —>still my favorite podcast, across genres, no competition.

I used to enjoy this show, and maybe if I wasn’t an Arsenal, Fulham, West Ham supporter I would still enjoy it. But there has been anti Arsenal sentiment too often. This week one of the hosts said something to the effect of “Arsenal have been awfully quiet” about the fact that they scored in the NLD on a corner that should have been a goal kick. It felt very “I told you so” or “Arsenal Supporters are hypocrites”. I didn’t like it. When the analysis gets beyond the team and to the media narrative I have to tune out. I get that everyone has their opinions on these things, and that not everyone sees the PGMOL controversies the same way, but the offhanded way that that was said, especially because it wasn’t presented in the context of any chance Arsenal or Arsenal pundits have had to call it out, it’s just an annoyance that I’ve grown tired of. It just felt like they went out of their way to insult (indirectly) me, and those that think similarly. Anyway. I enjoy most of the shows but these little jabs have become too common for me.
