The original Fool’s Gold animated series is sort of what got me super excited about D&D around two years ago, and now after becoming a somewhat experienced DM I’ve come back to the animations. While looking for a podcast to listen to recently, I thought “Wait…Does Fool’s Gold have a podcast?” So I looked it up! As it turns out, there is a podcast, and it’s one of the most engaging and fun D&D podcasts that I’ve ever listened to! Would highly recommend this to new players, old players, and even people just looking for a fun fantasy adventure. Also, the music is fire 🔥🔥

FG:S is a great story that has become a fun bromance between its two characters. The smaller player number makes it easier to keep track and invest in the characters. Also the tight editing and production make it way easier to follow. In that regard I put it at the same level as TAZ. If you struggle to get into longer form games like Crit Roll pick this one up. They use the medium of D&D to tell an engaging story quite effectively.
Personally I find myself excited every time I see a new episode has dropped. Currently it’s my second favorite D&D podcast falling just behind Dice Funk. But hey who knows what they may do in the future? Great stuff gang keep, it coming at a pace that is mentally healthy for you!

I started at episode one of fools gold and now a second campaign! This is truly a glorious day, you three, your entire group, inspired me to become a DM and inspired me to learn DnD. I truly am so glad that this has gone so far, and I can’t wait for more wondrous content such as this! I’m so glad that this is what popped up first on my FYP because it is truly amazing!

I love how funny it is and how they interact with eachother. I also really like how I can understand the dm and the players. In most other dnd podcasts there are so many players and I can’t understand them because they all talk at once. Or there is a kid of background noise. Not the case with this podcast though! Love it and will be listening to all the new episodes.
