This has been a joy to listen to for the sake of our marriage. These two are an example and a blessing. Grace is imperative to embrace but also to extend frequently to your spouse. Thank you for always tying it back to the gospel in all the issues.

Ryan and Selena feels like our married besties! We have gleaned and learned so much from their wisdom, and value how everything always points back to the goodness, intimacy and love of the Father. Their practical wisdom and gift for breaking complex situations / conversations down has been a true gift! It’s been a gift each week to apply their wisdom and thoughts to our marriage and seeing the fruits of it.

Selena and Ryan, I am grateful for your ministry! As a wife homemaking with 6 kiddos, I need a source that’s on demand to go to! Your podcasts are applicable immediately! I can truely say they are of the Lords practical ways as I have been able to apply many teachings and they’ve transformed our home and mainly my own heart! Blessings to you all!

Selena and Ryan, I found you on YouTube under your video “Dealing with Shame and Regret After an Affair” you being led by the lord with the right words have helped me in ways I will be eternally grateful. I know our God is forgiving but just could not forgive myself. But I have now. I had to come subscribe and can’t wait to hear more. I made a very bad choice that never in my life I thought I could do, but I lost God during that time in my life. I will never let him go again because he stayed by my side the entire time. Our God loves us even when we are not perfect and do wrong. Thank you for the blessing I received and whenever I am down I will go to him for comfort, not drown in my shame 🤎

There’s nothing wrong with being a Christian couple and not wanting children. Children ARE a precious gift but that doesn’t mean every couple is meant and required to have them? And if you don’t have them you are some how disobedient? If you are a believer and you are in tune with God and filled with His Spirit then God will place that desire on your heart. I know many couples both in and out of ministry who do not have that desire right now. It’s not selfish it’s just not what they’ve been called to do. It’s okay to take “be fruitful and multiple” to the 10th degree for your own life but to standardize YOUR interpretation of the Word and make these blanket statements is a bit irresponsible. I can imagine this episode was especially hard for couples who can’t conceive. I love my child and we do want more so it’s not even that this even applied to me. Just please do a better job of differentiating between your personal interpretations and the text. As soon as they started citing articles as additional authority to beef up the argument that’s when I stopped tuning in. Go into this podcast knowing the Word for yourself so you can discern personal opinion from Biblical authority.

Initially I liked how both spouses participated about equally in the podcast. However, after a few episodes, I was shocked to hear Selena bash feminists. I wondered how a woman can possibly be anti-feminist! But I can’t blame her. Selena’s view is unfortunately a perpetuation of the long-held, long-preached MANmade “Christian” ideas that women are inferior. These ideas are so strong in our culture that even women may believe them! The book “The Making of Biblical Womanhood” by Beth Allison Barr explains in much more depth. I feel bad for only giving 2 stars, because I did actually like a lot of the initial content I heard, but I couldn’t get Selena’s comment out of my head and eventually could no longer bring myself to listen, particularly when I saw that an episode topic was about a husband getting jealous when his wife wore yoga pants to the gym. The mere possibility that the husband’s view might be validated and the wife’s might even be vilified was too big a turnoff. Maybe they ended up saying the husband was in the wrong—I hope that’s the case! But as I said, I couldn’t bring myself to listen, already hearing plenty of anti-feminist (i.e. anti female) content in my daily life as a woman.
