This podcast is such a perfect spin-off to the Fantasy Fangirls and I enjoyed Season 1 immensely! Hayden has done an excellent job of going from producer of FFG to co-host of the FanFellas and Steven brings such a fun dynamic. The chapter overviews from his point of view were so well delivered and as much as I liked reading Mistborn for the first time, I loved laughing with these guys (from afar in my car, so a bit one-sided) each week even more. Please please keep going! I don’t care what y’all cover, I’m going to listen no matter what!

This podcast is perfect for people who want to hear about the magic system and plot but struggle to get through the actual regular Fantasy book. Listening to this, you can fully enjoy it without reading the book. Steven’s chapter summaries are the best. Just like classic FFG Nicole but a slightly different perspective that makes it fresh and fun(I got that Jungle2Jungle reference). Hayden is a character in his own category. One minute he’s doing the best version of “Thunderstruck” I’ve ever heard and the next he’s accurately describing kitten heels. Hayden leading Steven through the book is the best format and I feel so seen every time Steven gets frustrated. I really hope they cover more books. It gives me something to talk about with my family who only reads regular Fantasy.

Great dynamic between the hosts. Perfect blend of deep dive info and humor - just like the Fantasy Fangirls accomplish - and I can tell they are going to have their own spin on things as well. Love the choice of pairing a seasoned Sanderson fan and a newcomer, and only covering the listed chapters each episode - great choice for this particular work. Can’t wait for more!
