Listening to Danica is like getting a hug from someone who’s taken you in like an older sister does, and that older sister happens to know really cool things about the folklore and history you’re seeking out (or didn’t even know you needed). But, she doesn’t lord her academic or practical prowess over anyone. Instead, she shares it lovingly, human to human. This podcast is a gem. Danica is a gem.

Fair Folk has been such a gift. I’m so glad it’s back! The music selections and information feel like I’m back in my favorite history classes with a teacher who actually cares. I always lean on “Gnome for Christmas” to get me into a better heart space anytime of the year. But right now especially. Thank you, Danica. This contribution to the podcast world is so so special.

I have enjoyed all of your shows through the years… it got me through crafting my first quilt in the dark winter of 2020/21 and helped me become more in tune with the rhythms of nature and my ancient roots. I understand why episodes are infrequent - because they are masterpieces!! But today, I happened to need something to listen to while cleaning (it’s also my birthday) and I was so delighted to find a special Autumn episode in my apple podcast library 🙏🥰 the answer to my prayers for something mystical to imbibe on this beautiful Fall day! Thank you so much for your love of music, language, and ritual, and for sharing your research and perspective so thoughtfully with the world ❤️ I dream of singing with you someday, I’ll check out your courses!

It was a great surprise to see a new episode! I couldn’t bring myself to unfollow, in hope I’d hear her voice again. I love the history and the music. This podcast grounds me to my roots and the seasons. I relisten to podcasts based on the time of year, but look forward to learning new things. Thank you for coming back!!
