Edge of the Couch is a rare gem in the world of therapy podcasts—thoughtful, unfiltered, and deeply human. What sets it apart is the way the hosts dive into the real, raw experiences of being a therapist, especially in those early, vulnerable years of practice. They don’t shy away from the complexities and messiness of the therapeutic relationship, and their conversations feel like you’re sitting in on a coffee shop chat between honest friends who get it. It’s not just informative; it’s affirming. Whether you’re a new therapist or a seasoned one needing a reminder that you’re not alone, this podcast is a must-listen. Only thing I would love to see is more inclusion of resources such as books, articles, and studies that delve even deeper into the topics.

Love the CONTENT. Just stumbled upon this podcast, binged a few episodes, and I love it. I’m not a therapist, but a client. Even still, I find the podcast to be very insightful. It gives me a window into therapy world and creates a better understanding of the therapeutic relationship I have with my own therapist. Thank you for being open and self-disclosing Jordan and Alison!

I love listening to their honest opinions about therapy and navigating being a good therapist. I’ve learned so much, and feel so much more educated going into the field than before when I hadn’t listened to it. Sending love from south Texas!
