Dr. Furman‘s book Eat to Live changed my life years ago. What I appreciate most about his philosophy is that it is based in science, and he looks at topics from multiple angles to provide as much information for the listener/reader to make an informed decision for themselves. Sometimes this may force you to recognize your current lifestyle is not ideal, and that can make you uncomfortable at first, but that’s what I love about the podcast - it stretches your thinking in different and more informed ways.

All of Joel and Jenna Fuhrman’s podcasts are very well constructed and are packed with a ton of health information. I learn something new in every podcast. I especially love Jenna’s empathy for non-nutritarian people out there. Please keep up the good work and post more of your talks.

Hello, I listen to this podcast with such enthusiasm and share with people. I learn so much. My request is please link the research studies in your podcast notes so I can reference and share them with the health professionals I work with. I went back and read the transcript, but I cannot find a particular study I remember Dr. Furman talking about it. Again, it would be so helpful if you could link these studies to your podcast notes. Thank you! Rebecca

I really want to like this podcast, because the advice is sound. However, Dr. Fuhrman is SO patronizing to listeners. He and Jenna frequently refer to listeners in the third person (“people” or “they”), and they might as well just say “those idiots.” If you are not as perfect as Jenna and Dr. Fuhrman, you are a total loser. This messaging could reach and benefit a lot more people if it was delivered directly to the listener (“you”) and had an encouraging vs. insulting tone.

I went plant-based years ago, in large part, thanks to Dr Fuhrman’s books. It saddens me that he has given in to the allure of selling supplements. I simply cannot trust a Dr who makes money selling supplements, it is a conflict of interest and I will no longer be listening.
