His work consistently explores male relationships, and this narrow interpretation only underscores the importance of Conrad’s cultural contributions in a time when nuance and open interpretation feel increasingly limited.
The goal of DTF St. Louis is to demonstrate that perspective is inherently subjective, and that any statement or action can be understood in multiple ways, each offering a new point of view.
It is ironic and disappointing to see “critics” speak with such confidence on a subject they do not fully understand, particularly when the work itself challenges that very lack of self-awareness.
