Ladies, I think you’re knocking it out of the park. You’re super entertaining, choose excellent and fascinating topics, and speak so honestly, you are truly a stand out cast for me. I don’t binge anything- and I listen to ALOT of podcasts, and this is the first one I had to. Love it.

I never went through sorority rush myself so I wasn’t sure if I’d relate, but it’s surprisingly insightful and fun to listen to! I hope they keep upping the ante and spill all the secrets!

Sorority rush is having a huge cultural moment right now, and the timing for this podcast should have been perfect. Unfortunately, Dirty Rush: The Truth About Sorority Life completely misses the mark.
The episodes with sorority coaches were especially brutal. Instead of offering useful insights, the hosts seemed intent on “exposing” coaching as some sort of scam. In reality, sorority coaching has been an established niche for over a decade and continues to grow for a reason: recruitment is highly competitive, especially at SEC and southern schools where 2,000+ women might go through at once. Like in any competitive environment, entrepreneurial people step in to add value. Whether or not a family chooses to invest is entirely their decision—but to dismiss the entire field shows a lack of understanding.
The hosts’ questions—about spray tans, posting with cute boys on social media, etc.—were not only shallow but wildly out of touch. They perpetuated an outdated stereotype that sororities are just about looks and attracting the “male gaze.” In reality, strong sororities emphasize grades, character, leadership, and service. Many “top” houses even have GPA minimums (often 3.5+ unweighted core) before a PNM makes it past round one. The picture painted by the podcast bears little resemblance to the truth.
What’s most frustrating is that this show offers nothing of value—not as a resource for current PNMs, not as an inside look for outsiders, and not even as juicy storytelling entertainment. Most listeners who have ever been through rush likely realized within minutes that they knew more than the hosts.
The only positive? The podcast has a great title. Beyond that, it’s a huge missed opportunity.

Great concept, but the host’s perspective feels limited and the delivery can be a bit dry. Coming better prepared with questions and integrating a Southern voice could make the discussions more engaging and balanced.
