Dark Topic - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I listen too a lot of podcasts and nothing gets me to turn off faster than a boring sounding host. Seriously, what are these people doing with a podcast. Jack has a great voice and speaks with engaging emotion. And while I don’t always agree with his opinions i always find him engaging and entertaining. I was compelled to write this review after hearing him talk about smoking crack and right in the middle of discussing the ugly moments of being at the end of your drugs and scraping together remnants for one last hit, podcast hard cuts to Jack doing a Rosetta Stone add read. Haven’t laughed that hard in a while. Keep up the good work Jack.

It only took me one episode to realize this podcast checks all the boxes for me. Fantastic writing and narration, likable and intelligent host, no unnecessary banter, informative episodes with all the gory details as well as a dark sense of humor…I have been searching for this exact podcast!

Jack is a trip. He may not always study his topics as hard as Aaron (re: Marooned podcast, also worth a listen) but he always brings his hilariously twisted wit and insights in a way that can’t help but draw you in. He’s not a typical podcast host trying to engineer their personality for maximum clicks, instead he’s doubled down on being himself, for better and worse (overall - better - no doubt). Thanks Jack, you bring many smiles and laughs.

I first heard Jack Luna on Monstruo and liked him, but that show didn’t do him justice. The depth of his research and storytelling is really engaging. Can’t believe I’m only finding this one!
