This podcast is so fun, I can’t recommend it more. If you are a rider in the heyday of Soul in NYC you will find this especially entertaining. The host is a delight and the interview subjects are all super fun and have incredible stories. 10/10 listen.

All her podcasts are touched with magic. She shines a light on unique sub-cultures and woos her audience with questions and curiosity until they fall in love with it as much as she has. I can’t wait to dive into spin culture. And if you haven’t listened to Finding Fire Island yet, consider this your sign.

2 Things:
1. It ended SO abruptly…super weird!
2. The story as a whole felt kind of disorganized and maybe a bit one-dimensional? Could just be me- still very entertaining stories…I just think there were a lot of interesting themes that were begging to be woven in with more depth and meaning… could have really had a lasting impact on listeners. It’s in there…just not tied together and offered in a clear way.
But if you’re in it for some soapy entertainment- you’ve got that in spades for sure…no harm no foul!

Loved this pod! Didn’t anticipate for the bonus episodes to hit so hard, but I loved them (almost) more than the season. Give us more juicy details!!

I usually love these types of podcasts, but this one was a struggle to listen to. I only made it to episode 4. I’m not sure what might make this story or its “characters” compelling, especially to anyone outside this spin community. It sounds any other fitness craze/fad.

There has been a lot of marketing around this podcast. The history or SoulCycle’s origins was interesting, but the podcast lost my interest after that. I get the “drama” of a group of close-knit people doing something they love - of course there will be affairs, obsessions, jealousy, betrayal, and elitism. This isn’t unique to SoulCycle. I think this could have been done better - the over-production of the episodes suggests there’s more actual information being presented than there is. This is not a podcast I recommend for anyone.
