As people have said the monotone voice, with no inflection whatsoever- is nearly impossible to listen to. I wish narrator would take this as constructive criticism and make some changes to improve the podcast overall. I’m not saying this to be mean- but hopefully our feedback can help make this a more successful podcast. Win win!

When I first heard the narrator, I wondered if it was a joke. Mon-o-tone. Good Lord! But after a couple episodes I now find the narration quite soothing and it adds to my enjoyment of the show. The stories are interesting and well-told.

I’ve watched his YouTube channel since the start of it in 2016 and I’m so glad he has a podcast for on the go situations. I also love that he tries to cover cases that aren’t well known! Can’t recommend this podcast enough!

I’ve been listening for quite some time. The voice doesn’t bother me and I like it when he provides a snippet of information about what was going on in the world at the time of the crime and when it’s solved. It provides perspective into the world and society.

I used to listen religiously. He’s one of the few narrators that although monotone, actually has some interesting tidbits and facts about the cases and the years the events took place. However I just cannot stand the ads. Listen, I listen to plenty of podcasts. I know the creators want to put in ads throughout the episodes and I don’t mind! But I write this review as I just listened to the current episode about Jacob Wetterling. The promised as “quick” ad break was at 4 minutes into episode. The second promised “quick” ad was roughly 9 mins in. The third “quick” was 13 minutes. (Also the ads weren’t quick fyi). For an episode about a 13 year old, a minor of all cases, saying they’re quick ads and putting them so frequently into each other seems quite disrespectful, incessant and rushed. I couldn’t continue listening after that 13 minute third ad. I wasn’t even 1/4 of the way into the ep! I’m sure I can find his case on another channel. I’ll miss the narration but this episode really rubbed me the wrong way, all due to this channel’s selfishness for ad after ad, instead of telling the story about the 13 year old boy

This is so unfortunate. The content in podcast episodes is really good but the narrator is probably one of the worst I’ve heard. His monotone, mumble, zero inflection voice is painful to listen to. It sounds like the shy annoyed kid who is made to read multiple pages out loud in class. Frankly, it’s a talent how he can maintain his lack of inflection…and it’s disturbing that he reads the stories of the victims as a program manual.
