Out of all the podcast I listen to while working, this is my favorite. They have a nice flow in their conversations. Ian and Pat certainly have good chemistry and enjoy how they start the podcast with casual random topics that’s not game related. Their tone keeps me in tune without zoning off while binge listening while I am painting in a paint booth. Interesting how their taste in gaming and experience are often similar to mine. I am a bit older (44 year’s old), but they do bring up my favorite childhood memories.

I’ve been a fan of Pat’s going on a decade now. I’ve help fund both his books, been a patreon supporter for years and have traveled to multiple shows to see him in person. I love the podcast and look forward to listening to it at the end of a busy work week. The only criticism I have is that over the past few years it seems Ian doesn’t really want to be there. He comes off indifferent to multiple topics, wants to cut segments short and is always making comments about the show run time and the food podcast he hosts on the side. I get it, maybe he’s burnt out but he seems to be more focused on the clock than the show itself.

I listened to this podcast for many years. It was a good run while it lasted, but it has come to an end. They will no longer regularly do the show after episode 350. Once regularity ends, that is the death knell of any podcast or YouTube show. I’m going to miss these guys, but the writing has been on the wall for quite some time. Ian wants to move on, as does Pat. I hope we see them in the retro gaming space in some capacity because their opinions always seemed to come from a place of intellectual honesty, which is important in what has become a very expensive and often exploitative hobby. I wish them well and thank them for the years of entertainment.

Keeps me current on gaming news and it’s always funny to hear Pat and Ian’s takes on stuff. Great chaps to listen to.

The Completely Useless Podcast is so plagued by negative, ill-informed commentary that it’s impossible to listen to. Painting themselves as experts in all things they have no experience about, Pat and Ian ramble on indefinitely about how terrible everything and everyone is. They can’t even accidentally entertain a positive topic, and anyone that listens to these winners for actual facts is going to be terribly disappointed. Toxic, toxic, toxic.

Since they started the Patreon pre show or extra podcast or whatever it is the show is too diluted and boring. Seems like all they do is talk about some defunct hardware for an hour and it doesn’t interest me at all. They used to talk about games, movies and other interesting subjects but I guess that all moved to the pre show or whatever it is. Since then it’s been a snoozefest for me.
