I followed Alexis from her work on Lizard People and already had high hopes cause Alexis is great! And the podcast exceeded all expectations! Ella is awesome and the two of them together are just amazing interviewers.

They always have interesting questions or points of view that I just never would have thought of. They give their guest a lot of room to speak on the things that they are an expert in (or just things they’re excited about).

The episodes without guests are amazing too, along with hilarious, and I love learning about animals I know and animals I don’t from them.

Side note, hearing Ella talk about her writing has also inspired me to start writing again ❤️

I was trying to find a new podcast with hosts who actually seem to enjoy just talking about life together - and I found this! Of course I love hearing about the animals, but what I truly love is feeling like I’m apart of a bigger friendship. Thanks for making this! 🤍🤍🤍

This show is absolutely lovely! Alexis & Ella are truly a joy to listen to and they always pick the most interesting/entertaining guests. I listened to CIPYD & this podcast does a great job filling the whole left in my heart when that show ended 🥰

It’s so satisfying to hear other people who are like me and just love all animals, who feel as much as I do, with deep empathy and understanding. The show is filled with stories and poems and science and friendship and laughter and tears sometimes but tears that are from your heart filled up with love!
