But Why: A Podcast for Curious Kids - Podcast Rankings and reviews

This show is a must-listen for parents and kids alike. It addresses concepts from physics to biology to history to manufacturing, and even tough concepts like gender, global conflict, and economics. This is a show I learn from and look forward to listening to (often times even on my own), and you’ll be whistling the catchy theme song in your day-to-day. It has sparked some of the best conversations I’ve ever had with my son, and I’m so grateful for But Why!

My 12 year-old has begged to be home-schooled for ages. So, we’re taking the plunge! Each morning we’ll be hiking the trails of Maine for her P.E. portion of the day.

I’ve dreamt of finding just the coolest podcast that explores science, nature, and life questions and answers for kids.

One problem—either most podcasts for kids are either too full of pop culture references with ratty music intros, that they frighten off the parents, or they are so patronizing with fluffy voices and stories, that tweens or older are turned off.

Until “But Why?” came along! From the opening moments of the show I could feel this was exactly the simple, uplifting, knowledgable content what we were both seeking. Thank you for coming to the rescue. Our homeschooling hikes and conversations are going to be a dream because of you.

My grandkids loved listening to this on a camping trip with us. So much better than just handing them a screen. We listened together and were all entertained.

This podcast is a great way for kids to learn in a fun way. Also in the more sensitive topics such as “ why do people get old” does not make kids feel frightened and adults feel offended. This is a great way to pass the time or if you want some background noise. You will not get bored with “ But Why”!🙂

Love how it addresses kids’ questions but it censors the answers which makes it very one-sided. If all perspectives can’t be presented, it’s basically biased information. Kids who listen to this podcast are smart! They want and deserve ALL the info.
