Breaker Whiskey is really incredible. What starts off as a roadtrip through a mysterious post-apocalypse unfolds into a wider mystery that really satisfies. I can understand folks who feel the pacing is too slow for them, but I really appreciate the way the show can linger in places where it makes sense for Whiskey. And while I've enjoyed the pacing of the small episodes each weekday, folks who might want things to move a little faster are probably now helped by how much of the podcast there is, and the bite-sized episodes mean you could easily get through a dozen in the time other shows would take for one episode, so you can really speed things up for yourself if you must. It's definitely a very different show but it shares some themes with Alice Isn't Dead, which is one of my favorite podcasts of all time, and if you like that you should definitely try this. Lauren Shippen knocks it out the park again.

I made it to episode 176 and I started to feel strung along so I just unsubscribed. With so many episodes I can’t tell if I’m just being impatient. Some episodes don’t advance the plot, but aren’t interesting enough to be considered just there for character development or the enjoyment of the listener. The character intermittently cuts herself off mid sentence and it became irritating because it’s not clear why it’s happening. This show uses occasional cliffhangers to keep you listening and then repeatedly fails to deliver.

I just found this and burned through it! The storytelling is fluid and internally consistent and the character building and mystery aspects are immaculately paced.
