Boysober - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I have been a fan of Hope Woodard since before boysober, through Phone A Friend, and I’m so grateful to have her back in my headphones for Boysober 2.0! Hope combines the perfect mix of humor with gentle authenticity that makes listening to her feel like catching up with your sister on the phone.

Stylistically, this podcast isn’t like may others I’ve listened to, in the best way possible! It feels so fresh, but very refined. I think Hope is an excellent narrator and storyteller, and I love how she weaves her story in to the episode alongside interviews and snippets of dialogue from family & friends. I appreciate that you don’t necessarily have to relate to all of Hope’s dating experiences to find this broader conversation poignant & insightful.

I found the topic interesting so I started listening without having any idea who the host was. I didn’t realize she was so young and honestly I just think I’m not the target audience. This podcast may have been interesting if I was in my twenties, but I’m just too old to find anything revelatory here. It’s a rehashing of a lot of ideas about relationships I’ve heard before and it doesn’t touch on anything deep, unique or meaningful. It’s not a bad podcast. It’s well produced and edited and the host is engaging. It’s just not for me or probably anyone over 35.
