As another reviewer said, you don’t even have to know much about Bonanza to appreciate how the gang analyzes one episode a week, breaking it down but also giving background trivia about the stars and the number one movie and song on the episode’s air date in the 1960s (hello, Ben Hur). This podcast is hilarious every single season. The hosts and guests are top-notch. It’s weird, hilarious improv all the way. Pew-pew!!!

Bonanas has it all: Elvis talk! Tawdry gossip about mid century television actors! Cowboy poetry! Dissections of Robert Altman’s impact on popular culture! Toupee reports!
Came to this because I love Gourley, Daily (and Bamford, bless her heart) and really anything even remotely Superego related. Yes, Bonanza is discussed, but really it’s a platform for skewed humor and wordplay. Guests, real or performed, are always a good time. It’s a niche show for sure, which makes it perfect.

You really don’t have to have watched Bonanza to enjoy this. Love all three hosts, but Maria Bamford is amazing! Easily the best part of the show.
