i was intrigued when gregk guested on no gods no mayors, and by the mention of vincent blevins' the jakarta method, a book that grimly introduced me to a number of crucial concepts for understanding the 21st century when i read it last year. well here's a podcast in that vein, that brings a variety of concepts with each episode a listener can pursue through citations, sharply produced and well-presented. you may want to be in a headspace for information which may harm you before pressing play— but you should press play.

I’m a fan of the analytical nature of this podcast, where lots of facts are presented as is, with sparingly little, or often dry humor. My favorite parts are when the subject matter is so frustrating to both the listener and the speaker that Greg is heard grunting, cursing, or outright shouting at the subject for being so dumb, or at least intolerably inconsistent with reality or the subject’s worldview. This is a wonderful mixture of academic analysis and personal feelings of frustration I often feel with other, more emotionally detached analysts. Excellent show, I can’t wait to see how it evolves in the future.

Thought provoking and extremely well delivered with charisma and enough humor and enraging facts to keep you listening to learn more.

Wonderful synthesis of some of the most relevant theory, stuff informed people really need to pay attention to at this moment. Having this stuff broken down helps me see our world with clarity and feel less insane. Thanks.
