This podcast is one of my absolute favorites! It has strengthened my faith, especially as a follower of Christ who is black and often struggles to reconcile with the sufferings of the black community and what is the call to the church. The story about Maria Stewart gave me such hope and she remains a hero to me!

I Love the insight of this podcast. I am thankful for the uncomfortable truth that is being spoken to a world that desires to feel comfortable with the lies we hear everyday.

Got about ten episodes in, and am giving this rating for a few reasons.
1: saying people of mixed race have “rape colored skin” is offensive and wrong. I am a mixed race liberal living in the Carolinas. And even the most reprehensible bigots that have spouted nonsense at me haven’t said that. How dare you. Having a dark skinned mother and a white father does NOT make me a product of rape, and you should all be ashamed.
2: saying that “black people cant be racist” is just false. Racism isn’t about marginalization in the system. We have a phrase for that called systemic racism. Being a racist is about personally held bigotry. It’s typically aimed at minorities, but not always. So saying black people “by definition” can’t be racist is ignorant and, by definition, wrong.
3: one of the male hosts suggested walking up to a person with confederate flag accessories or keychains and engaging them in conversation about how racist that flag is. In some parts of the south, that’s literally dangerous. PLEASE nobody do that. The person that is wearing that in public knows that’s racist; they don’t need to be told that.
4: the podcast is supposed to be about black history, but there is a lot of digression. Mostly about either religion, or launching into diatribes about social Justice right now.
