Genuinely have to consciously stop myself from binging this podcast - I’m still back in the early run, and I’m staggering my episodes with others to make the experience last as long as possible.
The hosts are obviously good friends, and their banter manages to ride the perfect line of “funny without interrupting the flow”. They also have different interests, meaning the focal disaster of the episode ranges from a fishing vessel off the eastern shores of Russia to a cargo hauler in the Great Lakes to a sailing ship in the the 1500s.
Every time an episode comes up in my queue I have to put down whatever mentally intensive task I’m doing so I can fully focus on this podcast. It’s horrible for my thesis (lol), but worth it for the experience!
As the title says: I cannot recommend this podcast enough. (It would be super cool if they would cover the Eastland disaster in Chicago >> ) Listen to a single episode and get hooked, like I did!

The guys do a great job of researching and putting the shipwrecks in their historical context. I have learned a lot about transportation and shipping in the 1800s and 1900s through the present. I also love hearing about shipwrecks from other countries besides the USA. Keep it up, you are doing a fantastic job!!

Other than being from Michigan I have no nautical knowledge or experience. I came here for a few pods on the Edmund Fitzgerald but I am hooked! I have listened to podcasts since they first came out in the early 2000s. This is a very good and unique podcast that is so much more interesting than the cookie cutter big podcasts being pushed out by so many big players. This is the kind of thing that the medium promised. Love it!

The story telling and production quality is great. Well researched and good discussions about not only the ship wreck, but the situation and actions leading up to / changes as a result of and the human side. Hosts are just good people. I listen all day during project weekends.
