I love Mary Beard and this felt like a fun companion to her SPQR book that really makes the Roman world feel relatable and human. But even if you haven’t read that, anyone interested in the day to day life in the empire will enjoy this. I’m really enjoying it and hope many episodes are made!

I am a big fan of Mary Beard as a historian and communicator. I love it when she’s a guest on other podcasts and find her talks fascinating. Its brilliant she has her own show, and the premise is unique and interesting. I already binged all episodes and can’t wait for the next one! Greetings from Puerto Rico!
