HIGHLY recommend this podcast, which takes the academic work of pouring through archives and uses it to introduce us to the real women who struggled who make lives amidst poverty and oppression, and clearly points out the connections to current migrants, refugees, and people caught in the criminal legal system. Just listened to half the episode straight through while on a walk—the stories are gripping! And the audio, narration, and music of the podcast are excellent.

Meticulously researched, compelling and thoroughly fascinating. Presented with a flare of old world Irish charm. I hope these accomplished women have a book in the works.
