This is our favorite family podcast and e listen to it as soon as it comes out every week. (Now that they fixed Leo’s voice it’s even better!) I enjoy the new format that feels more engaging for kids, with characters who are actually living out the stories. It feels like an engaging first person way to learn about history. My only note is what some other people mentioned, the levels, especially with high pitches, are off. This should be an easy fix to make the audio more listenable.

We love the content and the stories, but the volume is not remotely level when shifting from the episode to the announcements. We have to turn our volume all the way up for the story only to be blasted by how loud the commercials are.

My kids and I love listening to these but the sound is too dynamic like another reviewer stated. The voices are too quiet and the sound effects are at times ear piercing. Leo is hard to hear. The mouse sound effects are way too loud when the sound is high enough to hear the voices. The time travel and music breaks are also too loud, so while me and my daughter can tolerate it, my other child and husband find it too intense so we aren’t listening as much as we could.

Please go back to the original format of storytelling. It was excellent. The added characters, especially Leo, are the worst. His stuffy ever changing accent is nails on a chalkboard. My kids (and I) just want to hear about the amazing people you’re featuring. Also, the sound is so unbalanced. Brooke is so quiet you can’t hear her and then the sound effects are so loud you have to turn it back down again.

The show idea is good, we love the magazines but my kids and I can’t stand the nasal voice of the Leo character. It’s beyond distracting. As a teacher, I want to tell the boy (which we have all guessed is a girl) to go home, rest and get healthy. I honestly think it would be better without the two characters and just tell the history story.
