Anime Addicts Anonymous - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I’m a new listener and have been for about a month now. It’s nice to hear different points of view about Anime and it has sparked interest in watching some that I’ve never considered before. I enjoy the conversations and am even going to join the discord soon. It seems like a fun community of anime lovers and I’m excited to keep listening each week.

Is your Life/Anime ratio balanced? Do you like anime just fine but find yourself out pursuing other interests and hobbies? If you answered yes to either of those questions you need this podcast ASAP. Seriously though, All of the hosts are super likeable and it feels like sitting down with a bunch of friends that you have never met. In addition, the hosts are very knowledgable and bring a diverse set of interests/tastes to the show. They do not only cover the "popular" series that everyone else is already talking about but lesser known series and older classics as well. Their criticism (positive and negative) are quite specific and they will often look for something to like even in shows they really hated. They are also honest in their feedback and are willing to discuss what they like/dislike about various series even if fandom considers this heresy. That said - they do not fall into the trap of disparaging everything as some do - to be edgy or whatever. (That said - I can not genuflect at the Pope's moe-crushing alter.). You can tell they have a deep passion for this art form and the types of stories that will be told. Also there is not much that is cuter than hearing Mandi go on a tear about a manga, anime, or even just a collectable that she loves. One warning - have a notepad nearby or the app open on your phone while you listen. You will want to write down many of the titles they mention. Also - your "to view" list is going to get really long.

I've been listening to this podcast for over two years now. I look forward to this every week. It makes my 70-80 minute commute pass by very quickly. My interest in anime had been fading as I entered my 40's recently. This podcast has renewed my interest in anime. I've found new anime series to watch based on the recommendations I've gotten from this podcast. Keep this podcast going!!!!

If you like anime you’re gonna want to listen to this podcast. A great community, great hosts, and just great experience overall. All hosts have different tastes, personalities and perspectives which makes the show so great! Recently subscribed to the additional exclusive episodes and I’m loving it so far. 10/10 do recommend.
