I’ve listened for years and have gotten some of the best recommendations from your show. One of my most recent reads, Mickey7, was because of this show. I’ve heard Liberty talk about it and finally picked it up. Thank you, I loved it!

I’m catching up on a couple of episodes and was just listening to the backlist episode 501.5 and cracked up when Vanessa said, “The plot quackens.” 🤣

I love the Danika Ellis episodes. When I listen to book recommendations I want a very calm, easy to listen to voice. Danika has the perfect podcast voice and phenomenal book recommendations. Please please please include have Danika episodes more often!

Liberty has been off her game for months now because she is unwell. while I know she doesn’t want it to, it obviously is making the podcast far less cohesive and entertaining. It has become a negative space filled with her illnesses, despondency, and she is meandering around so many topics that it doesn’t even make a lot of sense sometimes. I really hope she just takes the time off and let others step in to keep the podcast going. I am sure there is a good team that could do that for her so she can focus on getting better and not stressing about trying to prep for a podcast which she has to do while lying down. I hope that she takes that time for herself and the show supports her.

I really enjoy this podcast! Thanks for all the great recommendations. It would be a 5 star if they improved the audio quality for one of the podcasters. It sounds pretty low quality and stands out in contrast to the other audio.

This podcast hasn’t been the same since Rebecca left. Liberty and Rebecca were the perfect pairing because Liberty chose some more niche and quirky reads / reads that were specific to her and not always listeners, and Rebecca tended to choose memoirs, nonfiction, and books that appealed to readers in a less niche way.

I know Liberty loves to read, but I feel like the podcast has turned in to her talking about how she loves super long books, fairytales, magical fiction, etc. And the other cast members who rotate in and out recommend soooooo so so many middle grade books. It just feels like I’m wasting my time now and it’s rare that I get any new recs from listening. I used to get probably and genuinely 75% or more of my reads from this podcast years ago, but again since Rebecca left it’s been a very different show. I’m just shy of the point of unfollowing and no longer listening, and that makes me genuinely sad.

I used to really love this pod back when Rebecca was co-hosting, came back to it a couple weeks ago to see what the vibes were, and I’m so disappointed. They are no longer reading the books, so mostly reading aloud the publisher’s summary and saying they’re soo excited to read it eventually - which really isn’t giving me any additional value from just looking up what’s new this week myself. Lots of middle grade books, but I would go somewhere else if that’s what I was looking for. I understand it’s impossible to read every single new book every week, but other book pods seem to be able to cover many more titles weekly with thoughtful reviews and reflections.
