I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. I appreciate the slower speaking cadence of the host. Other shows hosts with UK accents speak too fast making it hard to follow. The episode gets right to the point. I’ll follow this one.

Super interesting content but there are way too many ads, given that each episode is fairly short.

I really like the subject matter of A History of the World in Spy Objects and I’m a big fan of Alice, especially the work she’s done with History Hit.

That said, I find that her voiceover and however they’ve electronically edited her voice to be very distracting—it’s as if they’ve produced it to fit a Halloween film or a ghost story. Aside from that, it’s a pretty good show and I enjoy listening to it.

Alice Loxton is an amazing host and all of her content is top notch. This show is equally good but the number of ads is astonishing. I listen to quite a few podcasts and I haven’t ever listened to one with this many ads the ratio is often 1/3 ads. I’ll continue to listen because of Alice but hopefully they do something about the amount of ads.
