This is one of the easiest podcasts to listen to, since it only runs for about a minute, as the title implies. Each episode gives a quick overview of a certain topic without bogging you down with too much info. Not for people looking for in-depth discussions of civic matters and history lessons.

This is such a wonderful service that teaches the history of the present so that we know why things are the way they are. It is easy to take some of the rights and privileges for granted when we don't know how we got here but 60-seconds civics help correct that. This is a very NECESSARY podcast. Thank you Center for Civic Education and Mark Gage for doing this well.

These are nice snippets of civic learning. My only complaint is that there is too much fluff. Of a typical 1:15 podcast 40 seconds is fluff (music, what the topic of the next one, the speaker introducing herself, etc.) When I listen to several in a row on a playlist it's annoying to have to wait through 30 seconds of closing comments for the next one to start. They should really trim it down.

Great idea! The snippet of information is perfect for a quick lesson. As a middle school teacher, this podcast might be a little over my students' heads, but I could see it being very useful in high school, college, or for people studying for a citizenship test.
