Our curated selection of reviews
If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of discovering the 1001 network of shows, you have been missing out.
This is a new addition of ghastly classic tales. As always, the articulate and familiar voice of Jon Hagadorn guides us through one story at a time, captivating imagination and portraying tales with as much modern respect as can be given to archaic slang, dated phrases and other verbal land-mines that might dissuade the faint hearted podcaster from attempting to tell the story.
Jon has a classic American patriotism. He keeps the material he reads as true to its source as possible and shows his affection for the many who have fought for America in war stories, while not even addressing the current political climate. This for me is a huge bonus to all of the 1001 series of stories.
As far as 1001 Ghost Stories and tales of the Macabre, it is fairly new to the series and it has quickly become part of my favorite podcasts, all of which happen to be of the 1001 family.
I will gladly add more reviews when able and as stories progress. For now, thank you Jon and whomever has a hand in creating these podcasts. They are fun, interesting and well read.
Always looking forward to listening to them like a cup of coffee to begin each week.
