A great podcast with great research. My only critique — and it might just be my device — is that the audio bumps/transitions are much louder than the voice portions of the show. Makes it a little bit jarring. Looking forward to the rest of the show!
I wish college football had more storytellers adept at tackling a nuanced topic like this and actually wanted to do so. It’s why SB Nation’s CFB coverage reigned supreme for those years. Hope they do more projects like this
Learned about half a dozen things in just the first episode, like: why did the Big 10 add Maryland and Rutgers??
one of the most beautiful things about this sport is that the ledger gets refreshed once a year and anything can happen (source: go frogs) so having this looming, inarticulate sensation of a halcyon sunset throughout the enterprise has wavered between unnerving and putting the eulogy before the corpse this podcast puts thought and meaning to that sensation and - even if it’s just to better understand why Godfrey talks the way he does in all caps at times - it is extraordinarily worth your listening time
