I appreciated the insight and storytelling of both seasons thus far. Melissa has a compassionate voice for women who are victims of injustice and violence. Both Sandy Beal’s and Libby Caswell’s stories were heartbreaking to hear, but I hope the information in them will help someone listening to recognize signs and seek help and healing for themselves and/or their loved ones.

This is the best of this genre. It marries a mystery with an exploration of profoundly important societal issues: here, suicide, police sexual misconduct, and the devastating impact of failing to protect vulnerable young women who misplace trust in authority. The sensitive investigation and storytelling here left me deeply moved and with deep empathy for Sandy’s family who was forced to suffer with not knowing for decades. Well done!

Really great storytelling, interviews were fascinating. Appreciate the care taken to give Libby a voice.
My big issue was that each episode had at least 10 minutes of ads. I know ads are a necessary evil but boy this was too much.

This is a sad and frightening story of domestic abuse!! So many red flags!! What’s even worse is that there seems to be no justice for Libby and her abuser moves on to abuse yet another. Because let’s face it.. he got away with it before. So he’ll for sure do it again! I thought the podcast was well put together and informational. I would like information about the organization that Cindy is working with. My daughter too has been a victim of domestic abuse and fortunately has been able to free herself from the marriage. However they have children in common which keeps her abuser in her life. I want to teach my granddaughters that domestic abuse should not be tolerated by anyone and that you do not have to be a victim as there are resources out there to help you!

I would say that there is about a minute of commercials for every two minutes of content, which is really not bad. If you are able to constantly fast forward to skip through the commercials, it’s a good podcast.
