I am a same race Black adoptee from SF, California, USA. I am 48 years old. Thanks to this podcast I now have the words to go with what I have been feeling my entire life. This podcast is amazing and life giving and affirming plus educational.Thank you Karlos. You are amazing and so is your podcast!

I am a foster and adoptive mom. My children are younger, we discuss the joys and trauma associated with adoption. This podcast gives such a great perspective from the adoptee, I want to be empathetic to their needs as they grow up. Thank you for giving voice to children!

I work in the field of reproductive health and I began to be curious about what happens when a child goes into the adoption / foster care. I could never imagine what really happens. I have enjoyed listening to first person stories. They talk about heavy thing but still can make jokes.

I’ve learned so much from Karlos and other adoptees. Karlos has opened my eyes to the trauma and unethical aspects of adoption. Everyone should take the time to listen to their voices.
